Mobile Hydraulic Sales Applications Engineer - Upper Midwest

Our client is an industry leader in supplying hydraulic component and system solutions for industrial and mobile equipment applications.  If you are looking to be an key member of a team dedicated to excellence and driven to succeed, then we have the opportunity for you.  Our client currently has an opening for a Sales Applications Engineer.
  • Generate sales to achieve Company business goals
  • Develop, engineer and quote solutions (components & systems) to meet market-specific and customer-specific requirements
  • Coordinate and execute sales activities closely with various Company sales channels
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, service, logistics etc. within Company to create market and customer specific products and solutions
  • Initiate and develop contact with customers and establish long-term relationships
  • Develop business plan based on commercial objectives and application solutions to expand market share with existing customers and obtain new customers
  • Assist in collection and analysis of information concerning sales forecast, market trends, business conditions, and competition
  • Pro-actively address and resolve difficult customer issues and complaints
  • Prepare and present sales presentations to prospective and present customers
  • Initiate and support cross-divisional cooperation
  • Perform other essential and related duties as may be required
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of applications and/or engineering experience
  • Professional engineering knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, or electric drives and controls or other relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated ability to establish new business contacts and develop customer base
  • Excellent negotiating, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in all MS Office applications
  • Travel required
