Product Manager-Mobile Hydraulics

Our client is an industry leader in providing mobile hydraulic solutions to off-road industries including construction, agriculture, material handling, forestry, etc.  We currently have an opening for a Product Manager.

The primary responsibility for this person will be to plans, manage and support business sales efforts to increase product line sales revenue and new industry based applications at target accounts, distributors and engineering companies. Key focus on engineered products and solutions for regional industries. 

Additional responsibilities may include: 

A. Manages product level sales growth programs supporting the sales team  

B. Recommends to Marketing and Engineering industry specific modifications, technical specifications and special testing capabilities to meet globally recognized standards.

C. Develops, analyzes and implements sales recovery plans for core product lines, including evaluation of regional competitors and counter offensive sales tactics 

D. Manages sales launch element of new product and new program launch to distributors and direct OEMs 

E. Recommends creation of dedicated sales tools, industry specific literature and promotional brochures to improve product sales growth 

F. Creates and presents In-field sales training programs dedicated to specific product lines and/or industries 

G. Key product level presentations to support major customer programs 

H. Analyzes and reports product level sales growth performance including coordination of product level sales forecasts 

I. Maintains competitor technical, customer and price information required to drive sales growth 

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE DIRECT INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IN THE MOBILE HYDRAULIC INDUSTRY DEALING WITH DISTRIBUTORS, OEMS AND/OR USERS.
 
5+ Years in outside sales experience required. 

Bachelors degree preferred. 

Technical education and experience in mobile hydraulics is required to apply products in a variety of customer requirements in many marketing areas, such as mining, construction, material handling, agriculture, irrigation, and forestry. Also, technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical fundamentals is required. 

Ability to work and communicate almost daily with corporate engineering and manufacturing personnel to see the needed product from the conception stage through research and development, and finally as a working product on the customer’s equipment. 

Travel: 60-75% overnights 

Requires the ability to plan and conduct sales and technical product session and arrange, coordinate and orchestrate major program proposals with Purchasing, Engineering, Service and Management personnel at assigned accounts. Sales Manager must understand and implement personal time and territory management program on one’s own with minimal direction and supervision.
